State Auditor Appoints JP’s Chris Hoeh to Personal Care Attendant Workforce Council

State Auditor Suzanne Bump recently swore-in Jamaica Plain's Chris Hoeh to the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Workforce Council. Bump selected Hoeh from a slate of nominates provided by the Statewide Independent Living Council to fill a seat on the council left vacant due to a resignation.

Chris Hoeh is sworn-in to Personal Care Attendant Workforce Council by State Auditor Suzanne Bump.

Hoeh was sworn-in on Wednesday, August 29th, and his term will continue until December 6, 2019.

Hoeh, who has been a teacher since 1985, was named the 2015 Elementary Social Studies Teacher of the Year from the National Council for the Social Studies, and the 2014 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Southern Poverty Law Center. He holds a Master of Education Degree from Wheelock College.

The PCA Workforce Council provides information and support to consumers to hire, train and recruit PCAs. It consists of 9 members. Two members, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (or her designee), and the Director of the Office of Workforce Development (or his designee), are members of the Governor’s administration. The remaining seven members are appointed by the Commonwealth's constitutional officers.
