Sorry but it's highly unlikely that Reese Witherspoon will be making a guest appearance in The Footlight Club's production of Legally Blonde. But straight up -- like a bend and snap -- there are fantastic performers in our local show.
Legally Blonde was first a smash hit movie with Witherspoon, and follows Elle Woods on her way from being labeled as a negative stereotype of a sorority sister to Harvard Law student. After hitting Broadway, the show had a national tour, and made it across the pond to London's West End.

The Footlight Club's cast is 20-plus deep, led by Amanda Casale as the bubbly, determined Woods.
In addition to the large ensemble, Jeff Mitchell, Christine Kasparian, Bryan Smith, Dave Levy, Ashley DiFranza and Tristyn Sepersky take on supporting (or opposing roles) as Woods' friends, friendemies, and foes.
The production is directed by Katie Swimm, with musical direction by Jeff Kimball, choreography by Amelia Munson and produced by Elizabeth Bean.
The Footlight Club's Legally Blonde: The Musical opened November 9 and has an 8-show run through Nov. 23. Performances are at 8 pm on Nov. 15, 16, 22, 23; 2 pm on Nov. 17; There will be a relaxed performance for patrons with sensitivity issues on Nov. 16 at 2 pm.
You can purchase tickets at www.footlight.org or at box office the night of the show.
