Outdoor Movie Series Begins Thursday With ‘Frozen’

Hello, neighborhood. It’s gonna be a hot one today. Here’s your Morning Memo for all things JP for Wednesday, June 18.

“Frozen” Kicks Off “Screen On The Green” Series: On Thursday, JP Centre/South Main Streets begins what I hope will be a new tradition — outdoor movie nights at the Loring-Greenough House. The first selection is Disney’s “Frozen.” You know the one. It has everyone singing or parodying “Let It Go,” as recently happened nearby during a cabaret night at UForge Gallery. “Screen on the Green” is a part of the Centre/South Main Streets First Thursday Art Walk. 8 p.m. Thursday at the Loring-Greenough House lawn, 12 South St.

No Clothes, No Problem: Speaking of letting things go, how about shedding your inhibitions in the annual Naked Bike Ride. This year’s edition begins at the bandstand on the Common. Saturday, June 28, 9 p.m.

Business Group Meets at Spontaneous Celebrations: If you’re a business owner in JP and haven’t checked out the monthly meetings of the JP Business and Professional Assoc., Wednesday is a chance to give it a try. This month’s meeting is at Spontaneous Celebrations. The agenda includes a talk by Sally Swenson, communications pro extraordinaire, of the JP Neighborhood Development Corporation. She’ll discuss tax write-offs available via Community Investment Tax Credits. Lunch available starting at 12:15 p.m., meeting from 12:30 p.m. at Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth St.

Okay, JP. Have a great day.
