One female was shot on Tuesday afternoon in Jackson Square and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Boston Police responded to a report of a female victim shot around 3:11 pm at 265 Centre St., according to BPD Media Relations Officer David Estrada. The Mildred Hailey Apartments are located at 265 Centre St.
Boston Police closed the streets nearby as detectives investigated the shooting. The MBTA also stopped running buses from Jackson Square, and were diverting bus riders to other stations.

District 6 City Councilor Matt O’Malley was on scene after the shooting.
On scene in the Jackson Square area of #JP where a woman was shot earlier this afternoon. Spoke with @bostonpolice who said that the victim is stable but in critical condition. It remains a very active investigation and BPD are pursuing several leads.
