Boston Climate Action Network Campaign Kick-off Meeting

March 23, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

BCAN (Boston Climate Action Network) invites you to their Gas Leaks Campaign Kick-off!  Why?  There are over 4,000 gas leaks in Boston.  The pipes leak methane, which is 86 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.  You, as a ratepayer, pay for this wasteful and dangerous leaking gas.  Instead of building new pipelines, the gas utilities should stop wasting their gas by replacing the leaking pipes. Electric utilities should switch from gas to renewable energy such as solar, wind, and hydro.

Come join us to learn the issues and how we, as a community and as individuals, can get these leaky pipes replaced!  Whether you have a little time or alot of time to volunteer, all time is important!

We'll start with food and socializing, then hold an impactful and interactive meeting.
