Botany Blast: A Look at Tree Architecture

Bundle up for this walk in the Arboretum to consider the architecture of trees. Andrew Gapinski will explain tree growth patterns, from pointy to broad, and encourage participants to make quick, 20 second sketches to focus on branching patterns, overall shape, and direction of growth. Wear gloves and bring a clip board or drawing pad and a pencil. If extremely cold, we will stay indoors and discuss and sketch from projected images.
