February 17 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pmFor tickets and more information, visit www.franklinparkzoo.org
In celebration of the Chinese New Year, visit Franklin Park Zoo on Saturday, February 17 for special performances and zookeeper encounters! At 11:00 a.m., watch as the Chiu Mo Kwoon school performs a Hung Gar Kung Fu and Lion Dance in front of the Tropical Forest. The lion dance is a part of traditional Chinese folklore and culture, and is said to ward away evil spirits and summon luck and fortune.
The inside of the Tropical Forest will be festively decorated for the occasion. Guests can let their creativity soar at the craft table with paper lanterns and learn animal fun facts at the education station.
