December Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

The December Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter in Jamaica Plain will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 5:30-6:30 pm on the lawn of the First Baptist Church of Jamaica Plain, 633 Centre Street, with guest speaker Fran Smith, Community Organizer at Community Change, Inc.

Following her remarks, there will be a "call and response" reading of names of victims of racist violence, after which participant will stand in silent Vigil for 20 minutes to witness for racial justice and against white supremacy. This will be the 49th consecutive monthly Vigil and everyone is invited to attend and participate in this non-denominational witness.
