Doggone Halloween in Downtown Crossing
October 31, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
Halloween has gone to the dogs! The Downtown Boston BID and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) are co-sponsoring a Doggone Halloween costume parade. The parade will take place on Halloween Day, Friday, October 31st, from 12 to 2 pm in Downtown Boston. The event is free and open to the public.
Please arrive at One Summer Street by 12 pm. The parade starts at 12:30 pm and will include each canine contestant parading across a small stage with their owner, and small parade within the event space.
A panel of judges will determine three category winners shortly after the parade ends. The categories are: Cutest Costume, Scariest Costume, and Best Dog and Human Costume (think Scooby-Doo and Shaggy). All contestants will receive gifts for participation. The event ends at 2 pm.
Pre-registration is recommended, but not required, by requesting a free ticket from this invite. Due to space constraints, only 50 dogs will be allowed in the parade.
