Franklin Park Walking Tour

July 18, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

The Boston Landmarks Commission (BLC) is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2015. The BLC has planned a series of four seasonal programs celebrating Boston's historic places and the progress made during the past four decades to protect and enhance the city's unique identity.

For the series' third event, taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2015, the BLC will partner with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. At the summer BLC XL event, "A Picnic in the Park," the public is invited to enjoy a free guided tour of the historic Franklin Park followed by a bring-your-own-picnic gathering. Please join us as Director of Historic Parks Margaret Dyson and Boston Landmarks Commission staff provide an introduction to the development and preservation of one of Boston's great urban parks. We will meet outside of the Golf Course Clubhouse.

As space is limited, registration is required. This is a free public event.
