Free Summer Fest at Boston Building Resources
August 12 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Boston Building Resources is celebrating the state sales tax holiday with Summer Fest, a free event featuring clearance sale prices on a wide variety of items for home improvement, hot dogs fresh from the grill, a corn hole tournament, and more. The event is set for Saturday, August 12, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 100 Terrace Street in Roxbury Crossing.
Visitors can browse through a wide selection of used and overstock windows, doors, and hardware, as well as vintage oddities, while listening to tunes served up by DJ Whysham. Join the corn hole tournament and enter your name to win one of several prize drawings throughout the day. A grand prize will be drawn at the end of the day; the winner will receive their choice of an Ivy rain barrel or a bokashi composting kit from the Co-op at BBR.
Bicyclists can have their bikes checked at a Boston Cyclists Union clinic, and everyone can sign up for a home energy assessment with Mass Save. Free food will include hot dogs (with vegetarian and vegan options), desserts from FoodLink, and natural juice samples from Sea Moss By Nachelle.
The public is encouraged to hunt for tax-free treasures and to discover the home improvement resources available from Boston Building Resources through the Co-op and Reuse Center. For more information, visit www.BostonBuildingResources.com.
