The acorn has been an important staple for aboriginal people across North America for thousands of years. The people of each region had their preferred species and methods of collecting, storing, and processing this fruit of the oak tree. In this class, you will learn primitive and contemporary methods for gathering and preparing acorns. At the end of class, we will enjoy freshly-cooked acorn-flour pancakes.
