Halloween 5K Walk/Run for Quest Adventures

Get your running/walking shoes ready to come join us on Sunday, October 29 and raise money to help Boston Public School students take life-changing national and international service trips.

This year our 5K is a Halloween Costume Run! Come in your best, scariest, funniest Halloween costume and trick or treataround the pond! Families with kids and pets are more than welcome to join!

Quest Adventures will award 100% of all money raised at this event in the form of a $5-6,000 grant for each of our upcoming 2018 teams. These grants will support the extensive fundraising efforts of our committed teams of students and teachers as they raise approximately $20,000 on their own for their service trips.

Walkers and Runners will have the opportunity to meet students from our 2018 April teams, visit our photo gallery, and hear first hand about the impact of the Quest Adventures experience on our Boston Public School students.

Registration begins at 8:00 am at the Boathouse for runners and walkers:

5K Run begins at 9:00am 2K Stroller Race and 5K Walk begins at 10:00am

DAY OF REGISTRATION

A $40 donation includes a free Quest 5K Walk/Run T-Shirt!

Children under 10 are free

Quest Adventures, Inc is a 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax deductible. We will use these funds to help further our mission of assisting teams of Boston public middle and high school students in organizing their national and international service learning trips.

Can I win a prize?

Besides the trick-or-treat goodies that you can collect around Jamaica Pond, there will be prizes from local business for the best costumes, the fastest racers and more!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The best places to park are:

The side streets facing Jamaica Pond: Pond St., Burroughs St. (and public parking lot off of this street, and Eliot St. Also, you can park on Centre St. and walk on Pond St. towards the Jamaica Pond Boat House.

Public Transportation is available via MBTA Bus (Route 39 or 41) or to Orange Line stop @ Green Street (about 20 minute walk).

Can I wear a costume?

Absolutely! We encourage all our spooky, silly friends to show up in costume at the race! Just make sure you can run or walk in the costume comfortably!

Are kids and pets welcome at this event?

Yes of course! We hope that you bring your kids and pets in costume! There will be trick or treating stations around the pond for the kids and pets!

Do I get a free t-shirt?

As this is a fundraiser for Quest Adventures, t-shirts are not included in the basic ticket-price. Please purchase a package ticket if you would like a t-shirt for this event! T-shirts will also be available for purcahse at the registration table.

Is it cheaper to walk than to run?

Because this is a fundraiser, the prices for runners and walkers are the same, dependent on age. Please see the price list for the appropriate ticket price.

I am a university student. Can I buy a student ticket?

Absolutely! Please present a student ID at the registration table when you check in at the race!

What do I need on race day?

Please bring an ID with you to check in on Race day. Costumes are encouraged! T-shirts will be available for purchase so bring some money if you would like to make an additional donation or buy a shirt!
