Event Navigation

The Ethelbert Cooper Gallery of African & African American Art presents “Harlem: Found Ways,” an exhibit of art and photography that captures the rich heritage, unsettling paradoxes, and uncertain future of one of the world’s most culturally influential neighborhoods. Curated by Cooper Director Vera Ingrid Grant, the exhibition is anchored by photographer Dawoud Bey’s iconic portrait series “Harlem, USA” (1975-1979), and new series “Harlem Redux” (2015-2016) which revisits the neighborhood 40 years later.
