History Happy Hour at the LGH

May 26, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$25.00

Join us for the latest installment of our History Happy Hour night at JP's Loring-Greenough House: Rum! Privateering & Piracy in the 18th Century.

This event coincides with the LGH's 300th birthday celebrations for Commodore Joshua Loring, the original owner of the 1760 house and a privateer for the British Navy.

Enjoy samples of delicious rum from our event sponsor, the fine folks at Ipswich's Privateer Rum; a custom classic cocktail made by our fabulous guest bartender, Susan Rice from JP'sBella Luna Restaurant & The Milky Way Lounge; and piracy-themed trivia with triviamaster Chris Child from the New England Historic Genealogical Society. While sipping your cocktails, you'll also get a crash course in the history and process of rum distillation.

All ticket proceeds directly support preservation and public programs hosted by the Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club at the Loring-Greenough House. Interested in helping to plan future programs like the happy hour? Join the Club!
