$10JP Concerts is proud to present KKM Project.
In old traditional Korean society, music was played at rituals to deliver the heart of people on ground to people in sky. ‘Korean Spiritual Music Concert by KKM Project’ will contain this important feature of Korean music, ‘the sounds for soul’. In this concert, KKM artists will present their interpretation of Korean ritual music. Gayageum player, DoYeon Kim and composer and piano improviser, Jae-Hyun Hong lead this concert, and 2015-16 NEC Wildcard Honors Ensemble, Jayu Quartet will join and play their original tunes in this Concert.
JP Concerts is a community music program of St. John's Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain managed by resident performing arts company, Open Theatre Project. The St. John’s sanctuary is a beautiful venue with surround-sound acoustics and an ideal location in the heart of Jamaica Plain.
