JP Mothers Out Front Webinar on Boston’s Community Choice Electricity,

People are knocking on our doors or stuffing our mailboxes full with offers from electricity providers that sound confusingly similar and promise the lowest rates from the greenest energy sources. How can Boston residents make the best choice among so many electricity offers? Third party commercial suppliers are using predatory practices to trap vulnerable people into contracts with their companies. They primarily target people from low-income households, immigrants, elderly people, and communities of color in programs that sound like Community Choice Electricity (CCE) but without the stable rates and green energy sources offered by Boston’s CCE program.

To help people recognize the differences between Boston’s CCE and other suppliers, switch to CCE, and even opt up to 100% from renewables. JP Mothers Out Front has teamed up with local community groups and the City of Boston’s Project Manager for CCE to offer webinars in neighborhoods, especially targeted neighborhoods.
