JP Saxophone Quartet at Turtle Swamp Brewing

January 17 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

JPSQ @ Turtle Swamp
Friday, January 17, 2020, 8:00pm
3377 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
Free Admission

After Jamaica Plain Saxophone Quarter's MIT season opener in September, they're back again with their contemporary classical series.
Come hear an eclectic program of works by Robert Honstein, William Albright, Victor Marquez Barrios, and David Carlton Adams! Starting with “a beer-cloud maze of smooth tunes and toe-tapping dance rhythms,” the composers adapt, distort, or imitate raucous celebrations, groovy funkiness, and, of course, a South American beach parade. And beer always makes a good accompaniment, especially if it's a Turtle Swamp creation.

Program
"Waterloo Dance Hall" (2005) by Robert Honstein
"Fantasy Etudes (selections)" (1993-4) by William Albright
"Saxteto" (2007) by Victor Marquez Barrios
"American Dances" (2014) by David C. Adams
