July Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

July 1, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

The July Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter will be held on Thursday evening, July 1, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm on the lawn of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain, 633 Centre Street, JP.  Our guest speaker will be Sean Ellis, whose story of wrongful conviction, incarceration and eventual release is told in the NETFLIX Docu-Series, Trial 4. Sean co-founded the Exoneree Network, serves as a trustee on the board of the New England Innocence Project, and is involved with many local advocacy organizations. Following Sean's remarks will be a call and response reading of the names of victims of racist violence, and a 20-minute stand-out along Centre Street. Everyone is invited to join us.
