Palaver Strings and Strange News present “Trapped,” a collaborative music-theater performance. “Trapped” will feature scenes from Kafka's Metamorphosis, Poe's The Telltale Heart, Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper, and Marlowe's Dr. Faustus. Each selection will be paired with complementary musical excerpts composed and arranged by Palaver alum Alexander Goodin. The two ensembles collaborate fully to close the show on Frederic Rzewski's Coming Together. We will explore what it means to be trapped, literally and metaphorically, physically and psychologically.

Trapped will be presented May 18 and 19, 7:30 pm at Boston Center for the Arts.
