Rooms Down the Hallway

Please join us for lit and libations at this very special installment of Rooms Down the Hallway. The event is part of Lit Week, a week of literary events and parties leading up to Grub Street's 2014 Muse and Marketplace conference.

Becky Tuch is the founding editor of The Review Review. She has received fellowships from The MacDowell Colony and The Somerville Arts Council and invitations to residencies at Ragdale and The Vermont Studio Center. Her fiction has won awards from Moment Magazine, Glimmer Train, Briar Cliff Review, and has been short-listed for a Pushcart Prize. Other writing has appeared in Salon, Virginia Quarterly Review, HTMLGiant, Hobart, and elsewhere. She lives in Pittsburgh.

Tara Skurtu teaches Creative Writing at Boston University, where she received a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship and an Academy of American Poets Prize. She was named one of Lloyd Schwartz’s 6 Favorite New Poets on WBUR’s Here and Now. Recent poems have appeared in Poetry Review, Memorious, DMQ Review, The Dalhousie Review, the minnesota review, B O D Y, and The Los Angeles Review.

A two-time Grub Street scholarship winner and Bread Loaf contributor, Adam Renn Olenn's work has been featured in print and audio literary magazines, and has been twice-anthologized in consecutive editions of Best New England Crime Stories. His story "Coronation" was a finalist for the 2011 Derringer award for short fiction. He prefers to have class outside.

The night will also include a raffle open mic, by which attendees can vie for a chance to read from their work!
