Silver Lining Mentoring:Community Talks
February 25, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Silver Lining Mentoring is currently in need of dedicated, caring adults to become Life Skills Mentors to youth with foster care experience. You don’t need a special background to be a mentor, just a desire to be a supportive, consistent presence to a child who needs a stable adult figure. Mentors are required to commit to spending two evenings a month for a year with their mentee and must be at least twenty-one years old. We are specifically looking for male mentors, mentors with out-of-home care experience, and mentors who identify as people of color. Join us for a Community Talks to learn more about being a mentor! You can sign-up by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 617 224-1302.
The Jamaica Plain News calendar is open to all local organizations and businesses.
We examine all submissions after they go live. Here’s the form to add your event. Please be sure to include contact information so we can reach you in case there’s a problem!
