~~~~~
Nothing screams romance like The Midway.
The JP Music Festival is gearing up for 2015's festival with our first fund-raiser: Smell the Love: An Evening of Love Songs to Benefit the JP Music Festival!
The fund-raiser will be Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day) at 9 PM at The Midway Cafe. $10 donation at the door.
The evening will feature local musicians performing covers of their favorite love songs. As our third Smell the Love event, it's always a fantastic evening that gives local musicians an opportunity to get up and perform some of their favorite songs.
This year's musicians and covers include...
Tom Appleman covers Stevie Wonder
Rick Berlin and Margie Nicoll cover John Lennon
Adam Calus covers John Legend
Tim Correll covers Norman Blake
Cheryl Devitt covers The Smiths and Tom Waits
Aaron Dore covers Frank Sinatra
Peter Fernandez (of The Rockmores) covers Joy Division
Mark Katzoff covers Leonard Cohen and Queen.
Martha Marin covers Modern English
Brian McCaffrey covers The Dictators
Walter Noons covers Simon & Garfunkle
Brandon Rainville covers Time and Place
John Shaw covers Bobby Darin, Gary Og, and Elton John.
David Wildman covers The Rolling Stones
It's a very fun night and a great chance to see old friends and meet new ones!
The 5th annual JP Music Festival will be held in September 2015.
