Some Assembly Required at the Place
Hello!
Kick off your Columbus Day weekend and come out to the official inaugural concert of chamber ensemble Some Assembly Required. We’re an ensemble that requires some assembly as we collaborate with composers, guest performers, and our audience in the production of exciting, atypical, and carefully curated concerts.
For our first concert we are going to present a diverse array of some of our favorite musical selections, including:
Blacher : Divertimento for trumpet, trombone, and piano, Op. 31 (1946)
Poulenc : Trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano (1926)
Persichetti : Parable VIII for Solo Horn (1973)
McCloskey : Theft (One Minute Less) for piano and narration (1996)
Plog : Trio for Brass (1996)
We look forward to seeing you there at The Space for an evening of music and fun. A reception(party?) will shortly follow the performance.
