Songs For A Summer Night

The Bostonians (Bostonian Opera & Concert Ensemble) present “Songs for a Summer Night.”  The artists include soprano Nouné Karapetian, mezzo-soprano Roselin Osser, tenor Michael Calmés, baritone Philip Lima, and pianist William Merrill. The program features songs from the American folk tradition by Aaron Copland; arias and songs from the golden age of Bel Canto to romantic Italy by Leoncavallo, Respighi, Rossini, Tosti, and Verdi; voices from the American musical stage including George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Alan Jay Lerner, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, and Meredith Willson; and a tribute to Leonard Bernstein with selections from Candide, On The Town, and West Side Story.
