This Tuesday, Hyde Jackson Square Main Street will again be presenting live outdoor theatre at Mozart Park performed by Escena Latina Teatro in Spanish with English scene descriptions. They'll also be music and entertainment, raffle prizes, food, and vendor displays.
Argentinian playwright, Roberto Cossa, cleverly weaves humor and gothic imagery when inviting the audience into the world of La Nona; a world where normal problems are solved by irrational and extreme means. Although riddled with witty one liners, the true comedic drive comes from the eccentric ensemble cast. This family's struggles can be seen as a vivid interpretation of today's middle class family, struggling to survive, and feeling the pressure to get a little creative.
This must-see event will be open to the public and free, although a donation to Hyde Jackson Square Main Street is encouraged. View the trailer here.
In case of rain or threat of thunderstorms, the play will be held at the Anna M. Cole Center (former Bromley Hall) in the Bromley-Heath housing development at Heath Street & Southwest Corridor Park near the Lorber Family Playground.
Pre-play activities begin at 6:00 pm
Play starts at 7:30 pm
