Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

November 2, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Everyone is warmly invited to participate in the November 2 Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter at 5:30 pm on the lawn of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain, 633 Centre Street.

Our speaker this month will be long-time JP resident June Cooper, a social justice educator, activist, Christian minister, and co-founder of Faith Leaders for Housing Justice, an organization focused on Boston’s most visible humanitarian crisis. Following her remarks, there will be a “call and response” reading of names of victims of racist violence and a 20-minute standout with signs along Centre Street.

Please join us as we stand together for racial justice and human rights.
