Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

February 4, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Thursday, February 4, 5:30 - 6 pm
First Baptist Church, 633 Centre Street, JP
In light of current state guidelines that restrict outdoor gatherings to 25 people and in recognition of heightened concerns for the new, more highly contagious Covid variants, the Thursday, February 4 Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter will have no opening or closing program. Instead, supporters of the Vigil will stand out in silence along Centre Street near our usual gathering spot of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain, 633 Centre Street, between 5:30 and 6 pm that evening, socially distanced and faces covered. Everyone is invited to participate in this monthly witness for racial justice and human rights and against racist violence and white supremacy.
