Winter Tree Identification Walk with The Trustees of Reservations

Even after fall winds have stripped them of their leaves, trees provide clues to their identification by way of their bark, leaf scars, and other individual characteristics. Alex Klein, local Arborist and Herbalist, will lead us through trees at the Minton Stable Garden, and then continue into the woods of Franklin Park, pointing out key characteristics that will provide you the skills to identify any tree, even in the winter months. Warm wild herbal tea will be offered during the walk. Join us at 1:30 on Saturday December 9th. This is a sliding scale ticketed event.
