Lifesongs celebrates the stories of LGBTQ seniors in our community. Lifesongs was originally conceived by Palaver cellist Matthew Smith as a songwriting collaboration between Palaver musicians and elders from the community, who write original lyrics based on their lived experiences. Over the years, participants have created powerful stories of love, loss, courage, and affirmation that we are excited to showcase on a larger scale as part of our residency at the Boston Center for the Arts.
