City Feed Battles Major Leak

UPDATE II: City Feed has reopened, but only for groceries, according to co-owner David Warner.

UPDATE I: David Warner, co-owner of City Feed, reports it was a burst pipe. The store is closed while they fix it.

Steve MacDonald of the Boston Fire Department said firefighters helped investigate the problem and get the pipe shut off.

The ceiling of the Centre Street City Feed is under pressure from what appears to be a major leak, possibly caused by ice. We’ll keep you posted on this developing situation.

JP Firefighters Are Having to Dig Out Hydrants

Earlier this month, blocked and snowed-in hydrants delayed firefighters responding to what turned out to be a fatal fire in Revere. On Sunday, residents spotted firefighters from Jamaica Plain digging out hydrants — a job safety officials say should be done by residents and businesses.

Police Continue Search for Woman Seen Going Into Pond

[UPDATE: Sunday, 4:20 p.m. — Police called off the search about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.]

The search for a woman last seen going into Jamaica Pond naked transformed the boathouse to a staging zone for the fire trucks and police cruisers that responded. While emergency vehicles circled the pond training their lights on the shore and woods, a Boston Fire Department boat searched the dark water.
