Boston City Council District 6 Online Candidates Forum on Aug. 31

The three candidates for the Boston City Council District 6 seat will be participating in an online candidates forum hosted by Ward 11 and 19 Democratic Committees on Aug. 31. Winnie Eke, Kendra Hicks, and Mary Tamer are vying for the District 6 seat which is being vacated by Matt O'Malley, who chose not to run after 10 years in office. Ward 19 Democratic Committee Caucus Electing Convention Delegates on June 28

Registered Democrats in Boston Ward 19 will hold a caucus on Monday, June 28, 2021, to elect delegates and alternates to the 2021 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The caucus will take place virtually on Zoom. Democrats who wish to participate virtually may register here. The Zoom session will be available at 6 pm, virtual admission begins at 6:30 pm., virtual doors close at 7 pm, and anyone in the virtual waiting room at that time will be admitted. Ward 19 Democratic Committee Launches Spring Back Better Campaign to Help Community Groups and Bizs Re-open

To celebrate the success of the first 100 days of the Biden/Harris administration, the Ward 19 Democratic Committee (JP, Roslindale) is launching Spring Back Better, a campaign to help local community groups and businesses to fully re-open. With the benefit of the COVID-19 Relief Bill and COVID-19 vaccinations widely disseminated, we’re able to start venturing out and opening back up. We know that our community in Jamaica Plain and Roslindale has gone through a lot. Some small businesses and community organizations have been able to function online or through take-out and delivery. Others had to close due to the absence of clients and revenues.

The Boston Ward 19 Democratic Committee caucus will be held on May 18 to elect delegates and alternates for the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Anyone is welcome to attend the caucus, and all Democrats who are registered or pre-registered in Ward 19 can vote. Boston Ward 19 includes parts of Jamaica Plain and Roslindale. Click here to see which ward you reside. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16-years-old by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate.
