Police: South Boston Man Died in Friday’s Hyde Square Shooting

Boston Police have released the name of the man fatally shot in Hyde Square on Friday. Police were called to the area of Centre and Wyman just before 6 p.m. on Friday for reports of two people having been shot, according to spokespersons for the police. Police found two victims in the city parking lot in the mid-300 block of Centre. That's across the street from the former Blessed Sacrament Church. While one man, still unnamed by police, was taken by ambulance to Boston Medical Center, one man was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
