Talk with Mayor Wu at Mozart Playground on Friday

Mayor Michelle Wu Neighborhood Coffee Hours will bring her to Jamaica Plain's Mozart Playground on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The coffee hours is a mayoral tradition that provides a unique opportunity to speak directly with the mayor and staff from city departments such as the Boston Planning & Development Agency, Boston Transportation Department, and more. Come talk to the mayor about open space, bike lanes, composting, or does she like cats and/or dogs. As always, Dunkin’ will provide iced coffee, Munchkins, lawn games and gift card giveaways. Fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market, and each family in attendance will receive a free flowering plant provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, while supplies last.

There are approximately 20 Dunkin' locations in Russia and they are currently remaining open. "There are approximately 20 Dunkin’ locations in Russia, all of which are owned and operated by a local, independent franchise owner. Dunkin' has suspended all current development and investment in Russia," said a spokesperson from Dunkin' to Jamaica Plain News. Jamaica Plain News contacted Dunkin' to ask if the company would be ceasing or continuing operations in Russia.

Will Jamaica Plain Get a Fifth Dunkin’?

There are currently only four Dunkin' (you know, we used to call them Dunkin' Donuts) in Jamaica Plain. And there's a possibility that a fourth one is coming to the neighborhood in the near future. Jes Donuts, Inc., a Dunkin' franchisee, is scheduled to appear at the Boston Licensing Board to open a new restaurant at 37 S. Huntington Ave. The desired hours of operation are from 5 am to 9 pm, according to a public notice on Boston.gov.

If approved, it would be the fourth Dunkin' in Jamaica Plain, and join the franchise stores at 315 Centre St., 684 Centre St., 757 Centre St., and 7 Walk Hill St. This was first reported by Universalhub.com.
