JP-Based Animal Welfare Group Takes in 139 Cats, Dogs and Birds From Hoarder

Nearly 200 sick animals rescued from a Lynnfield hoarder are being cared for by the JP-based MSPCA and South End-based Animal Rescue League. The hoarder, who isn't being named by the MSPCA, had a wide variety of animals: 27 dogs and puppies, 77 cats and kittens, 81 birds, six hedgehogs and eight reptiles including skinks and snakes. The good news is that all the animals are expected to recover. For more details on the conditions the animals had been subjected to, and the plans for caring for them, please visit the MSPCA and Animal Rescue League Web sites. If you'd like to donate to help these animals and others like them, here are links to donation pages for the MSPCA and Animal Rescue League.
