You’re Invited: Celebrating the Opening of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library

In September 2015, work began: we broke ground on a renovation to the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library, a $10 million renovation that aimed to revitalize this community space, and ensure Jamaica Plain has a new, innovative library for residents to gather. I’m so proud to announce the renovation is complete. Together with the Boston Public Library, I invite all residents to join us for the branch’s grand reopening this Saturday, May 20th, at 11 am.

The Jamaica Plain Branch Library currently being renovated has been selected as the first beneficiary of a new city program focused on bringing public art to Boston’s neighborhoods. This Thursday, there will be a community meeting for residents to provide feedback on what type of public art they’d like to see at the library.
