1st Annual SIDS Run for Tighe Sunday; Road Closures in JP, Roslindale

A 5K charity walk/run to support SIDS research will wind through the Arnold Arboretum and a number of area roads, including some in Jamaica Plain, Sunday, Oct. 16. It's not too late to register for the 5K, and drivers should plan their travel that morning accordingly. The 1st Annual SIDS Run for Tighe is a 5K walk/run to raise money and awareness for Robert's Program and the SIDS Research Lab at Boston Children's Hospital. SIDS stands for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, which is the leading cause of death among infants 1 month to 1 year old; about 2,500 infants die each year in the U.S. from SIDS.
