Tornado Watch Issued for JP Through 11 p.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for JP, Suffolk County and surrounding areas at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The watch lasts until 11 p.m. Tuesday. The watch comes after the Weather Service had previously issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area.

Tornado Warning in Boston Until 6:15 p.m. Monday

A trained spotter in Lynn saw a funnel cloud to the southwest, according to the National Weather Service. That sparked a tornado warning effective until 6:15 p.m.

The area for the tornado warning includes northeastern Suffolk County (i.e. part of Boston) and eastern Middlesex County.
