Wonder Spice Cafe Being Replaced By Thai and Sushi Restaurant

Longtime Jamaica Plain restaurant Wonder Spice Cafe will be closing and transferring its alcohol license to a Thai and sushi restaurant, which would take over the Centre Street spot. Wonder Spice Cafe appeared at a Boston Licensing Board hearing on Aug. 22 to transfer its license to Sweet Rice, a restaurant in Charlestown, which was first reported by Boston Restaurant Talk. Sweet Rice's owner Pichai Chairatthanawanit told Eater.com that it was a positive hearing. meetings with a few neighborhood associations are necessary to gain local support to have the license transferred.
