MIG Weld a Critter Workshop

April 21, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$200

A 4-hour mini-course in MIG welding allows each student to complete a welded “critter.” This workshop will cover studio and personal safety, along with welding equipment function and uses. Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), also known as metal inert gas or MIG welding, is a semi-automatic or automatic process that uses a continuous wire feed as an electrode and an inert or semi-inert gas mixture to protect the weld from contamination. Students will take home a welded sculpture which they will weld during the workshop.

Workshop also available on 5/19 and 6/17.

We also offer an 8 hour welding intensive and longer classes running 6 or 8 weeks. Metal casting, stone carving, jewelry making, mold making, and figure sculpture workshops are available. Custom workshops are available as well, including: wedding ring, team building, birthday parties, teen welding intensives, and more!
