Baroque Dance Repertory class
October 1, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm$20
Each two-hour session will be devoted to a different dance, reconstructed from baroque dance notation. All three dances are ballroom dances from the early 18th century that would have been “performed” at elaborate court balls and at private gatherings. No prior baroque dance experience is required — steps needed for the dances will be taught as part of the workshop.

La Bourrée d’Achille, choreograhy by Guillaume Louis Pécour.
A relatively simple dance in three sections (bourrée, menuet, bourrée) to music by Pascal Colasse, La Bourrée d’Achille is the first dance in the first published collection of notated dances, from 1700.
