Power to the Pedals Film Screening

May 6, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bikes Not Bombs will screen the new documentary “Power to the Pedals: Wenzday Jane and the Culture of Change” at the Hub on Tuesday May 6th at 6pm. This 30-minute film features the story of Wenzday Jane, the founder of Metro Pedal Power. Wenzday grew up in a low-income household and was able to harness her mechanical skills to build a successful business — with priorities on social justice and community-building.

We will host a panel of 3-4 speakers after the film focusing on the process of personal and professional development, and the hard and soft skills youth can develop to move onto jobs after high-school. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this exciting film and panel!
