State Rep. Liz Malia (D-Jamaica Plain) organized a site visit of the Massachusetts Wind Blade Testing Center (WTTC) in Charlestown for Jamaica Plain Mothers Out Front members.
During the site visit, conducted in partnership with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, the members learned about wind technology and relevant industry policies and laws in Massachusetts.
“I take energy and environmental issues very seriously, and I will continue to be a champion for aggressive and robust clean energy policies,” said Rep. Malia. “I’m proud to represent an actively engaged constituency who help to inform our state policies for a livable climate. They make up the strong, local advocacy voice, and I appreciate their interest and efforts.”
The WTTC offers a full suite of certification tests for turbine blades up to 90 meters in length. WTTC also offers the latest wind turbine blade testing and prototype development methodologies to help the wind industry deploy the next generation of land-based and offshore wind turbine technologies.
