Arnold Arboretum Director Ned Friedman focused on fruits as some of his favorites in the arboretum for 2015.

"...some of my favorite photographic memories of the venerable plants of the Arnold Arboretum in 2015, with a focus on fruits," included the zen magnolia "in glorious fruit" in August, wrote Friedman. He also highlighted the Japanese silverberry and a Sorbus hybrid.

Friedman also highlighted his encounters with ornamental barks such as paperback maples, the mottled bark of a London plane tree and the hackberry.
