JP Centre/South Main Streets is launching StriveOn, an app that will make exploring the neighborhood more mobile-friendly and interactive. We are kicking off with a Launch Party on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 12noon to 4pm, on the lawn of First Baptist Church, 633 Centre Street. Stop by our tent for fun, games, food trucks, prizes, and more! Get to know the app with our Scavenger Hunt – use the app to follow the map and answer questions to earn points for prizes! Users can download the app on both Apple and Android devices for free.

First Thursday ArtWalk Gets an App, ‘Black Panther’ Screening on the Green on Thursday

Jamaica Plain Centre/South Main Streets' First Thursday ArtWalk will include a new wrinkle to the popular event. A new interactive mobile app is being used to offer scavenger hunts, quizzes and will "ping" you when you walk past a participating business. During the First Thursday ArtWalk businesses open up (often after regular hours), inviting everyone to check out local art on display. The artists are often onsite and happy to speak with you about their work, which is often for sale. Businesses sometimes offer light appetizers and drinks.
