A public meeting about a proposed 4-story apartment building at 121 Brookside Avenue will be on Jan. 23. The proposal by Cedar Hill Design & Development would replace an existing parking lot. It would be 21 residential units on the top three floors, two artist live/work spaces and 11 garage parking spaces on the first floor. The building would be 19,347 sq.
An old building that once housed a garbage collection company on Burroughs Street, mere steps from Centre Street, was razed and will be replaced by a "boutique" 4-story mixed-use development. A "striking mixed-use new construction with two commercial storefronts and six residential urban flats, located in one of JP’s most cherished locations," is how Cedar Hill Design & Development described the project at 7 Burroughs St. on its website. The units are all condominiums with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The commercial spots are 674 and 840 square feet each with big storefront windows. Cedar Hill Design & Development Company is also building a 9-unit building on Brookside Avenue and has proposed a second similar building on Brookside Avenue.
